The Light of Grandpa

You are as high as the greatest mountain that I’ve always looked up to.
You are as deep as the boundless ocean that I’ve always wanted to explore.

The feeling of loss is beyond description.
When the tender grace of the day is dead
The night of sorrow strips me apart.
Grief punches me when you are gone.
Regret devours me when you left me with such a big hole in my heart.

Float gently, Grandpa.
Let the tide of divine grace wash your soul,
So that there will be
No more pain and no more agony.

Wandering away from sadness, we
Let the light of eternal life brighten our minds,
So that there will be
No more tears and no more sighs.

When the morning light breaks through the sky, we know
You’ve joined the rainbow in heaven, and
You are releasing the radiance of your love and smile.
We’ll be warmed down here
And be as bright as you want us to be.
Time flies and years come and go, but
The memory of you will never be erased
’Cause we’ll carry you in our hearts forever.
